Mods Haus began in early 2024 in the heart of Colorado, USA, born out of a shared passion for all things automotive. Our founder, Ignas, has grown tired of the inflated prices, limited product options, and lengthy wait times they encountered whenever they tried to modify their vehicles. Determined to find a better way, he started self-sourcing the needed parts.
However, 2024 is not the year when Ignas' experience with sourcing car parts started. He has been in the car modifying world for over 10 years when he bought his first sports car, a 2015 BMW M4 in Austin Yellow. If you scroll for quite some time on his Instagram (ignasvee) you will find it there.
Our Journey to Quality Sourcing
Since 2015, Ignas has been building relationships with manufacturing partners, primarily in the USA, China, and India, that produce the parts that major brands mark up dramatically. He has purchased products from many different suppliers and lost a lot of money in testing which suppliers are of the best quality.
One of the biggest fails being a full carbon fiber hood for his F82 BMW M4 which was not just a bad fit, but had terrible quality clear coat that made the hood look gray within 2 months.
Through direct communication, quality audits, and rigorous testing, many lessons were learned and a small list of suppliers was narrowed down to. Reliable, high-performance automotive parts don’t have to come with outrageous price tags. By partnering directly with manufacturers, and reputable brands in the US that do not go crazy on price inflations, we can bypass multiple layers of markups and pass those savings straight to the car community.
